Setting Up The Homepage

Create a new page and assign it the "Recent Posts" page template. Now go to Settings > Reading and select the "A static page" option, now from the "Front page" drop down menu select the page you want to display on the homepage. Do not select a page from the "Posts page" drop down menu.
